Discover the fjords and coastal landscapes of Hinnøya on a curated Arctic drive from Harstad, featuring scenic routes, coastal viewpoints and an audio-guided experience through the landscape.
Discover the fjord landscapes of Hinnøya on a curated small-group Arctic drive from Harstad.
This 3.5-hour experience follows a carefully selected coastal route through dramatic scenery, authentic fishing and farming villages, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking fjords and open sea.
During the drive, you will follow an audio guide via app, offering location-based stories and insights as the landscape unfolds. This allows you to experience the surroundings at your own pace, without constant onboard commentary.
A tour host is present throughout the journey to coordinate the experience, assist guests, and ensure a smooth and comfortable flow during stops.
The route is designed to showcase varied Arctic landscapes within a compact half-day format, combining quiet fjords, open coastal stretches, and scenic viewpoints ideal for photography.
We make several short stops along the way, giving you time to step outside, breathe the clear coastal air, and take in the surrounding scenery.
Midway through the journey, we pause at a private boathouse by the shoreline, used exclusively for our group. The partially sheltered setting offers seating and restroom facilities, providing a comfortable stop by the sea. Light refreshments are served, and you are free to explore the immediate shoreline before continuing the drive.
This experience focuses on landscape and atmosphere rather than physical activity. Walking at stops is optional and takes place on natural terrain that may be uneven or occasionally slippery depending on weather conditions.
The tour does not include hiking and is not wheelchair accessible.
As this is an outdoor Arctic coastal experience, please dress appropriately for the day’s conditions. We recommend warm layers, a windproof jacket, a hat, and sturdy footwear suitable for natural terrain.
With a maximum of 15 participants, this structured small-group tour offers a comfortable and consistent way to experience Northern Norway’s coastal landscapes beyond the busy tourist routes.
Parts of the route include elevated coastal roads and a mountain pass with expansive views over fjords and open sea. Guests who are sensitive to heights should be aware that some sections offer open, elevated perspectives.
