Experience a scenic and educational tour of the island kingdom of Tore Hund just outside Harstad atop an electric bike, indeed a unique way of sightseeing. A car will accompany you along the way, so safety and comfort are not an area of concern on this biking tour.
Over the span of 7 hours, you will cover a distance of 66 kilometres, all of it along the road. The first stretch from Grytøy to Bjarkøy is through an underwater tunnel approximately 3 kilometres long. The tunnel is well marked, with flashing lights on either side. You will enter the tunnel first; the car will follow with its lights on to guide you. In case you are uncomfortable cycling in the tunnel, you can ride in the car.
You can enjoy some refreshments as you’re guided to the B&B Touring’s place in Midgard. Once you arrive at Midgard, you can take a break and enjoy a light lunch in the beautiful location in Sundsvollsundet, right by the sea. Your guide will entertain you with a story about the famous Bjarkøy chief, Tore Hund, and the role he played in the battle of Stiklestad.
While you’re at Midgard, you are also free to take a refreshing dip in the sea with the help of their floating jetty before setting off on the remainder of the tour.
