Life in the arctic is all about adaptability. Over the years, the animals, birds, and other species in the area have evolved to live in extreme conditions. Join Arctic Waters on a sightseeing trip in the archipelago outside Harstad and watch the wild in their natural habitat.
On the day of the tour, all participants need to be at least 5 minutes at the meeting point, Sjøgata, before the activity begins. Here, you will meet your guide for the day, who knows the local area very well and is well-versed in Norwegian, English, and German. Once you’re briefed about the tour, you will onboard one of the supplier’s boats for the safari.
As the boat leaves the harbour, get ready to be spellbound by the shifting sceneries! Everything about the landscapes – blue fjords, chalk-white beaches, lush foliage, makes the perfect setting for the trip. Depending on the season, you’ll find porpoises and otters as well as marine birds such as eagles, puffins, kittiwakes, oystercatchers, cormorants, geese, and seagulls. Don’t forget to carry a camera along so that you can capture some great pictures of these picturesque views. After three hours of adventure at sea, the boat will head back to the harbour, and the tour will come to an end.
