This forest tour begins in the ArctiConcepts’ store in Harstad city centre. You will set off on a short drive to the starting point, after which you will start the hike. You will head directly into the forest, following a tapered trail and make your way up. The track will have varying terrains, with some parts steeper than most. The paths might also be slippery as they consist of rocks, earth, and roots. However, there is no cause for worry as you can go at a pace you deem comfortable. You will also be allowed to take plenty of breaks- to catch your breath or to capture the moment to look back at later.
After 30-45 minutes of hiking, you will reach the top of Gangsåstoppen, where you can take a much-needed break. While you wind down in a traditional shelter known as a ‘gapahuk’ and take in the vistas surrounding you, your guide will tell you stories about the area around you.
